Where can I check earnings announcement dates for Japanese companies?

This page lists the earnings announcement dates of the 617 companies we cover, by date, and you can search by company name or stock code. Dates come from the schedules published by Japan Exchange Group (JPX); for companies that have not published a date yet, we estimate the timing from their past reporting cycles.

When is earnings season in Japan?

Most Japanese companies have a March fiscal year-end, so full-year results cluster from late April to mid-May, Q1 results from late July to early August, Q2 (half-year) results from late October to mid-November, and Q3 results from late January to mid-February.

What time are results released?

Most companies publish their earnings release (kessan tanshin) on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's TDnet disclosure service, usually in the afternoon around the close of trading. Check each company's IR page for the exact time.

Where can I read about the results once they are out?

We publish analysis of each earnings release: revenue and operating profit versus the prior year, segment trends and progress against the company's plan. After a company reports, follow its name in the schedule to its company page and the latest analysis.
